Tyleana K. Venable, Jaspan Schlesinger Narendran LLP,

Tyleana K. Venable has concentrated experience in providing collaborative real-time guidance to public school districts and public libraries on complicated and contentious issues.

Tyleana’s experience includes policy development, student privacy, school board elections, Title IX, faculty tenure, employment issues, disciplinary proceedings, student residency requirements, special education, student disciplinary hearings, open meetings law and freedom of information law.

In addition, she advises clients on the competitive bidding requirements for construction and purchase contracts.

Prior to joining Jaspan Schlesinger Narendran LLP, Tyleana was a litigator at a Long Island law firm representing individuals in federal court.

Tyleana received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Berkeley College and Juris Doctor from the University at Buffalo School of Law.

During law school, Tyleana clerked for Judge Denise Hochul and Judge Walter Ruehle of the Executive Office for Immigration Review. She also served as executive editor of the Human Rights Law Review.

Tyleana received the Top Lawyers of Long Island Award from Herald Publications in 2023 and the Marie Nesbitt Promise Prize Scholar in 2017.

Tyleana is a member of the Firm’s Marketing Committee, delegate for the Nassau County Women’s Bar Association, director of the Women’s Bar Association of the State of New York (Nassau Chapter).

She also served as chair of the Nassau County Women’s Bar Association Annual Holiday Cocktail Party and Mittens Fundraiser and member of the AMISTAD LI Bar Association Annual Luncheon Committee.

Tyleana is admitted to practice law in New York State.

Along her journey from law school to the law firm, Tyleana garnered invaluable insights into the multifaceted world of law. These experiences were not mere professional milestones; they were chapters that enriched her perspective.

Her role in various bar associations and committees allowed her to realize that she is passionate about fostering community, championing causes, and ensuring that the voices of the marginalized are amplified. She is a legal professional and a

lifelong learner, who is driven by the desire to make a tangible difference in the lives of those she serves and the

communities she is a part of.

What has enabled you to be successful?
Throughout my life, my parents have been the bedrock of my achievements, providing me with unwavering support and encouragement.

Their belief in my potential, their sacrifices, and their constant motivation have been my foundational pillars of strength. In addition, a blend of diverse experiences, supportive networks, continuous learning, and a deep-rooted commitment to societal betterment has been the cornerstone of my accomplishments.
