Stress Less Holidays Tuesday, Dec. 1 at 7 p.m. In this Seated Chair class, we will explore many different ways of handling stress. We will explore different breathing techniques to calm your nervous system, and we will experience gentle ways of stretching and releasing physical tension in the body. We will also explore guided relaxation techniques and short mindful guided visualizations to bring you back to the peace and stillness you are MEANT to feel. Stress Away for the Holidays.

Sketching and Acrylics with Jennifer Wednesday, December 2 at 1 p.m. In this class, we will be painting a simple winter landscape frozen lake with snow-covered pine, and gorgeous falling snow. For a list of the supplies needed, please go to the library’s website: www.hillsidelibrary.info/events.

Sustainable Fashion & the Green Wardrobe Guide Wednesday, Dec. 2 at 7 p.m. Presented by Beth Fiteni, greeninsideandout.org
Awareness is growing about the benefits of organic food, but what about chemicals in the clothing we wear? Learn about organic cotton, hemp, bamboo, Tencel, and other natural fabrics, how to extend eco-fashion to our housewares and body products, and where to find sustainable eco-fashions. We will explore the connection between our clothes, the planet, and those who produce the fabrics.

In this virtual class, learn what to consider before buying, what goes into an informed purchase and how to find evaluations and shop for bargains online.

Reiki Healing with Holiday Spirit Friday, December 4 at 7 p.m. What is Reiki? What can it do for me? How does it heal?Reiki Practitioner, Pamela Bickford, will talk about her own healing journey with Reiki, after a cancer diagnosis. She will explain the various benefits of Reiki, how she incorporates the use of essential oils into her practice, and will demonstrate how Reiki is performed.
