Sid Jacobson JCC announces two Israelfest drive-thru events

Sid Jacobson JCC and partners Suffolk Y JCC, UJA-Federation of New York, and The Jewish Agency For Israel are proud to announce a re-imagined celebration of Israel’s birthday, Yom Ha’Atzmaut! For this year’s Israelfest, members of the community are invited to travel from the south of Israel all the way to the north, during this one-of-a-kind interactive exhibition!

The two JCCs will transform into the land of milk and honey with activities for all ages, characters, and mitzvah opportunities that attendees can take part in from the comfort of their car. Suffolk Y JCC will host the first drive-thru event on Sunday, May 23, 12-4 pm and Sid Jacobson JCC will host the second event on Sunday, June 6, 12-4 pm.

“We are thrilled to be able to offer Israelfest in an innovative and exciting way,” says Gili Dvash, director, Randie Waldbaum Malinsky Center for Israel. “This year’s drive-thru set up allows registrants from different counties to choose the JCC most convenient for them and interact with Israel like never before!”

Suffolk Y JCC’s drive-thru event on Sunday, May 23, and Sid Jacobson JCC’s event on Sunday, June 6 will both include memorable sites like Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, and Eilat and interactive activities such as bingo and arts and crafts for attendees to soak up some Israeli culture. Israelfest, now in its seventh year, is fun for families and individuals of all ages to enjoy.

Advance registration is required to attend these events. Registration for one vehicle for one event is $25.
