Town partners with Nassau County to host virtual Assessment Review Commission grievance workshop

North Hempstead Town Supervisor Jennifer DeSena and Receiver of Taxes Charles Berman have announced that the town will be partnering with the Nassau County Assessment Review Commission to host a virtual grievance workshop.

During this workshop, residents will be able to learn how to grieve the assessed value of their homes as indicated on the 2023-2024 Tentative Notice of Assessment.

The virtual workshop will be held on Tuesday, April 5 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., and it will be presented through the Microsoft Teams platform.

Residents who would like to attend the virtual workshop can do so by visiting the following link: https://bit.ly/3CG8AvH.You do not need to pay a law firm or agency to file an “Application for Correction of Assessment” online or via mail.

The 2022 property tax assessment grievance filing period has been extended until May 2, 2022. Residents who would like more information about their specific property can visit lrv.nassaucountyny.gov. Residents who would like to file a grievance should visit www.nassaucountyny.gov/agencies/arc/forms.html for all forms and applications.
