Bosworth meets with disability advisory committee

North Hempstead Town Supervisor Judi Bosworth hosted a meeting of the North Hempstead Disability Advisory Committee at Town Hall on April 23.

The DAC was created as a support system for residents with disabilities, their families and caregivers with a goal to ensure that all citizens are connected to the resources and services.

The director of the North Hempstead Housing Authority Sean Rainey spoke about housing that is available to those with disabilities including the application process.

The Receiver of Taxes Charles Berman was on hand to speaking about tax exemptions available to those with disabilities. Committee Member, Laurie Rubin-Haber, also spoke about her book ‘Raising Ross’.
