Garden City Park School sixth graders conducted research on the human body systems in their Project Lead the Way lessons with Salvatore Giurlanda. On Nov. 10, they concluded the unit with a virtual gallery walk.

Students chose a system of the body, such as skeletal, muscular, nervous or cardiovascular, to research and then created a Google Slide pressentation on their findings. They illustrated their selected system on a human body outline, including a QR code that linked their presentation.

During the virtual gallery walk, the students utilized their iPads to scan their classmates’ QR codes to view their Google Slides presentations.

Throughout the unit, students also learned about how to properly research online and access reliable sources.
