On Sunday, April 2, Temple Beth El of Great Neck is hosting a benefit concert with a pizza lunch from 11:30-1:00 pm. This event features and is being organized by Jacob Podwall, a 10th-grade student at Great Neck North High School.

Jacob will be playing popular songs on the piano with several songs accompanied with singing vocals by Cantor Adam Davis. All proceeds from the event will be donated to Northwell Health’s Turkey and Syria Earthquake Relief Fund.

This fund supports the Doctors Without Border program; providing much-needed medical supplies, treatments and aid to earthquake survivors.

Jacob feels so horrible about the loss of life, property, and suffering that many are facing there, and is hoping to make a difference. He is looking forward to combining his love and talent of piano playing to helping these individuals in need of medical care.
