Great Neck Library is having a lecture, “Tips for Successful Aging in Place, presented by Willing Heart, Helpful Hands.” It will be held on Thursday, May 30, at 2:00 p.m. in the Main Library Community Room, 159 Bayview Ave. in Great Neck.
Aging in place is the practice of staying in one’s own home as one ages, and it’s becoming increasingly popular. But it’s not always easy to adapt one’s living space to meet one’s changing needs.
Fortunately, there are plenty of tips for successful aging in place that can help you stay safe, healthy, and happy in your own home. By staying proactive and taking steps to ensure your safety and well-being, you can enjoy a happy and healthy life in your own home well into your golden years.
Willing Hearts, Helpful Hands, offered by Parker Jewish Institute for Health Care and Rehabilitation, is an innovative community program serving family caregivers in Queens, Nassau, and Suffolk Counties by connecting them with a circle of help that includes trained volunteers who provide an array of respite services.
Registration is recommended but not required. Great Neck cardholders and residents have priority for seating. For more information, please contact Great Neck Library at (516) 466-8055 or email [email protected].
