Great Neck Superintendent of Schools Dr. Kenneth R. Bossert has initiated a community-wide survey using ThoughtExchange, a collaborative platform facilitating confidential idea-sharing and thought rating among participants.

Bossert, who assumed his role on Aug. 1, introduced the survey as part of his 100 Day Plan to gain insights and identify community priorities within the district.

“I created this survey as part of my 100 Day Plan in order to understand different perspectives and to assist in identifying the priorities of the GNPS community,” explains Dr. Bossert, who joined the District on Aug. 1. “By using the ThoughtExchange platform, everyone has an opportunity to share their thoughts and understand what’s most important to the community.”

The survey consists of open-ended questions like “What priorities and/or insights would you like the new Superintendent of Schools to be aware of?” Participant responses are treated confidentially. After sharing their ideas, participants are invited to rate others’ thoughts on a scale of one to five stars. The final step allows participants to see how the community has rated the shared thoughts.

“I encourage all GNPS stakeholders to share your thoughts and visit the Exchange often to rate new ideas,” Bossert said.

Constituents of the Great Neck Public Schools — including students, parents, faculty, staff, and all residents — are encouraged to participate. The survey is accessible at https://tejoin.com/scroll/824418973 and will remain open until 11:59 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 29, 2023.
