The leaves are falling and autumn is calling.

The Mothers’ Group of Manhasset’s annual fall festival, attended by more than 100 people, was held at the picturesque Sands Point Preserve on Oct. 22.

The day’s activities included pick and paint your own pumpkin, face painting, balloon art, a live interactive band and a costume parade and contest, and attendees enjoyed pies and apple cider from the Jericho Cider Mill.

President Dana Forbes and vice president Jaclyn Martini wished to extend their thanks to all of the volunteers who helped with the event, as well as the event chairs Andriana McMahon and Claire Leiser for their work and ideas.

“It was a tremendously successful event, with many local families enjoying the festivities,” Forbes said.

“It was great to see the kids dressed up in their favorite costumes happily participating in the parade while Miss Holly and Tommy of the Jitterbugs delighted them with music,” McMahon said

The group is a member-based organization that holds a number of regular events throughout the year.
