Hillside Public Library is partnering with Long Island Coalition for the Homeless in a Lunch Box Drive. Needed items include the following: Lunch Boxes, Juice Boxes, and non-perishable food items, such as granola bars. Donation boxes are at the library.

Medicare 2023 Updates and Options – All Purpose Room, 2nd Floor
Tuesday, October 11 at 6:30 p.m. Open Enrollment for 2023 plans opens October 15! Be prepared! The Nassau County Health Insurance Information Counseling and Assistance Program (HIICAP) is offering an informative session on Medicare 2023 Updates and Options including legislative changes, Social Security and Medicare cost of living and premium increases. This program is designed for existing and new Medicare members.

Estate Planning – All Purpose Room, 2nd Floor
Wednesday, October 12 at 12 noon. Certified Financial Planner Michael Mazzilli discusses the importance, benefits and elements of Estate Planning, including who is involved in the process, special considerations for widows, and complicated estate situations. Bring your questions and concerns!

From Stress to Serenity – Virtual
Wednesday, October 12 at 1 p.m. Dr. Frank Pawlowski, long-time meditator, will lead this inspiring workshop from stress to stillness through the power of meditation . Dr. Pawlowski will share a simple technique, which if practiced regularly, can reduce stress. As a result a permanent place of peace and joy can be found within. Join Dr. Pawlowski for this in inspiring program. Frank Pawlowski Ed.D. is an Assistant Superintendent of Business and Finance, now retired from the New York State public school system.
