Paint Night: Sketching and Acrylics with Alma – Virtual

Creating a Basic Budget with Excel – Modular Room 1st Floor

Wednesday, February 15 at 6:30 p.m. Learn basic computer skills needed to create a basic household budget using spreadsheet programs like Microsoft Excel. Skills include creating a spreadsheet, entering data, writing formulas, applying formatting, inserting rows, and copying data to paste into a new sheet.This is a beginners course, so all are welcome.  No prior experience is required!

Home Detox: A Room-by-Room Guide to a Healthy Home – Virtual

Thursday, Feb. 16 at 6 p.m. Clinical practitioner, author and educator Daniella Chace will discuss toxins found in most homes that undermine our health. She offers encouraging advice on how to replace these common toxins with healthy alternatives.

She will offer solutions and strategies for eliminating toxins and give easy recipes for effective homemade cleaning solutions that use natural, affordable, and readily available ingredients. Bring your questions and concerns!

 Free assistance is available for persons with incomes, $70,000 or less, who wish to have their taxes prepared by trained volunteers in the Volunteer Tax Assistance Program. You can call the library at 516 355-7850, x101 or 102 to schedule an appointment on any of the following days: Saturdays, February 18 or 25; March 4, 11, 18 or 25; April 1, 8 or 15.  The following are the appointment times: 10:15 a.m.; 11:15 a.m.; 12:15 p.m. or 1:15 p.m.

Monday, February 13 at 7 p.m.  All Ages Youth & Families. Test your knowledge on all things Disney!  A prize will be awarded to the night’s trivia contest winner.

 

KerBoom Exercise – All-Purpose Room

Thursday, February 16 at 4 p.m. Ages: 4-7 years (with parent/caregiver).

At 5:15 p.m. Ages: 8-12 years (with parent/caregiver)

An energetic and challenging group exercise program. A great way to be engaged in a high-energy dance fitness class!

 

Time for Kid: Rocketship! – All-Purpose Room

Friday, February 17 at 10:30 a.m. Ages: 3-7 years (with parent/caregiver). Come join A Time for Kids, Inc. as we explore rocketships in this family fun preschool program.
