North Hempstead Town Supervisor Jennifer DeSena and Council Member Robert Troiano were was proud to host its annual National Night Out at Martin “Bunky” Reid Park on August 2. Council Members Peter Zuckerman was in attendance for the event. National Night Out is a neighborhood event that promotes police-community partnerships.
The event kicked off with a parade and festivities continued at the park.
The event featured music, singing, dancing, health care services providers, crime prevention information, education resources, cultural entertainment, refreshments, arts & crafts, raffles, games, giveaways, and more.
his year’s National Night Out was made possible by: the Nassau County Police Department 3rd Precinct, the Westbury Fire Department, NAACP, AKA Sorority- Pi Pi Omega Chapter of Westbury, the Islamic Center of LI (ICLI), North Shore Child and Family Guidance Center, North Hempstead Housing Authority, Westbury School District, National Circus Project, Target of Westbury, the UBS Arena, and Western Beef.
