North Hempstead Town Supervisor Jennifer DeSena and Council Member Veronica Lurvey were proud to host the 2nd Annual National Night Out event at Whitney Pond Park on August 2.
Councilmembers Peter Zuckerman and David Adhami, along with Receiver of Taxes Charles Berman, were also in attendance to kick off the event.
National Night Out is a neighborhood event that promotes police-community partnerships. The event was made possible by help from the Nassau County Police Department’s Sixth Precinct, Nassau PBA, Nassau PAL, Manhasset-Lakeville Fire Department, North Hempstead Housing Authority, Manhasset Great Neck EOC, Manhasset Chamber of Commerce and Macy’s of Manhasset. Attendees were treated to booths by local businesses, raffles, music, and fun activities.
