Hundreds attend community PortFest event

North Hempstead Supervisor Jennifer DeSena and Council Member Mariann Dalimonte recently attended PortFest on May 15 held at the track at Paul D. Schreiber High School. This was the first time the event was held since 2019, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Hundreds of residents turned out to enjoy the beautiful weather along with live music, theater performances, arts & crafts, food trucks and more.

The event was organized by HEARTS (Helping Enrich the Arts of Port Washington), a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to add meaningful value to children’s lives and our community by supporting, promoting and enriching the arts in Port Washington and its public schools.
