Seeds of Broadway – Fun With Jane – A New Musical Comedy

Join us for Fun With Jane, a concert reading of a new musical comedy in development by Perri Gaffney, Stanley Harrison, and Mitch Weiss featuring a cast of 12! An unlikely trio of rich women plans to raise $100 million for their charity by using insider trading on the stock market. They create havoc, get caught, put their fortunes at risk, implicate their husbands, and miraculously save a nation of starving children. Each of these shows are offered under the auspices of The Farm (We Grow Theater!), a project of MW Entertainment Group. The Tepper Intergenerational Fund of the Port Washington Library Foundation is excited to offer the opportunity to meet at the Cradle of Aviation (Garden City, NY) to watch a film in the all-digital JetBlue Sky Theater Planetarium, followed by a museum tour. For a grandparent with a grandchild in 1st grade and up. In-person lottery submission begins May 30 in the Children’s Room. Proof of residency will be required. A limited number of participants will be chosen by random lottery.

The Friends of the Port Washington Public Library presents New York Times best-selling author and fellow Port Washington resident Susan Isaacs in conversation with Port Washington Public Library Director Keith Klang. She will be at the to discuss her new novel Bad, Bad Seymour Brown. Susan Isaacs is the author of fourteen novels, including Takes One to Know One, As Husbands Go, Long Time No See, Any Place I Hang My Hat, and Compromising Positions. Isaac’s latest book, Bad, Bad Seymour Brown, returns two favorite characters, former FBI agent Corie Geller and her retired cop dad. Books will be available for purchase and signing.
