At Loggia Glen Cove #1016’s Aug. 2nd membership meeting, the lodge was pleased to welcome two new members, Edward Leonard and Jo Ann Zollo, and to present a check to scholarship recipient Lilian Stella.

The evening also included an insightful and moving presentation by Vincent Marmorale – producer of the documentary film “My Italian Secret.”

The film tells the story of brave Italians, including Gino Bartali – the famous cycling champion, who defied the Nazis and Fascists to hide, rescue, and protect thousands of innocent Jewish people and others in Italy during the Holocaust.
