The Greater Roslyn Chamber of Commerce is continuing its recent tradition of weekly ribbon cuttings for new businesses.  On Thursday, Jan. 26, owner Keith Cohen and his wife Andrea of chamber member Orwashers Bakery welcomed the community to celebrate with them.

Town of North Hempstead Supervisor Jennifer DeSena and Town of North Hempstead Councilman Peter Zuckerman presented the owner a certificate of recognition, achievement and appreciation.

In attendance from Roslyn Chamber were Rich Branciforte, outgoing president, and his wife Sandy; Mimi Howard, incoming President; Barbara Kaplan, VP of marketing and public relations, Lou Federico, VP of events, and board members Alicia Brown, Kate Lumetta and her son, Jamie, Wayne Wink, Garnet Ardila, Melissa Spitalnick, Graciela Hall, and Gwen Levy.

Chamber member Christina Yeung and Brandon Gimpelman of Peter Zuckerman’s office joined in the festivities.

Orwashers offered many tasty sandwiches for sampling, including turkey and avocado and lox and goat cheese on artisanal breads.

Orwashers Bakery is located at 377 Willis Ave. in Roslyn Heights.
