Roslyn School District launches Hudl Focus

The Roslyn Schools Athletic Department is excited to announce the launch of Hudl Focus at Roslyn High School.

This new state-of-the-art athletic platform will allow parents, students and community members to watch home athletic events live from their home computers or mobile devices.

Hudl Focus automatically records and uploads livestream events without a videographer, auto-tracking the game ball to deliver the best angle for whatever sport is being recorded. Different angles from multiple lenses are merged to capture the entire playing surface in HD.

Hudl Focus also promises to be a great coaching tool that will give student-athletes the ability to review their own performance.

“This technology is amazing and our coaches are really excited to leverage the analytics of this platform to discover and develop each player’s skills with personalized feedback,” said Michael Brostowski, director of health, physical education and athletics. “It will also provide parents with the convenience of watching their children play sports virtually if they can’t make it to a game.”

Three cameras are in place at the Turk Field/Track, Main Gym and North Gym. Links to each camera are posted on the athletic section of the high school page of the District website. The links provide access to livestream games, as well as the Roslyn Athletics YouTube Channel archive.

“This takes the Roslyn Athletic Department to the next level,” said Superintendent Allison Brown. “These tools will give our student-athletes a great advantage when it comes to evaluating and improving their performance. Plus, Roslyn sports fans will never have to miss a game again!”
