Stephen C. Widom Cultural Arts at Emanuel hosted Nikhil Goyal, author of Live to See the Day: Coming of Age in American Poverty, an indelible portrait of three children struggling to survive in the poorest neighborhood of the poorest large city in America.
The New Yorker designated Live to See the Day, a “Best Book of 2023.” Following a discussion and Q&A moderated by Robert Zimmerman, there was a book signing.
