North Hempstead Town Supervisor Jennifer DeSena and Council Members Robert Troiano, Jr. and Veronica Lurvey recently attended the NAACP’s Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. program at the “Yes We Can” Community Center in New Cassel on Jan. 16.

The event was put together by the NAACP Westbury/New Cassel Branch #2184. Musical and dance routines were performed by local students.
