March is Youth Art Month and The Hillside Public Library is having an Art Supply Drive for NYU Langone Child Life Program. Needed items are Coloring Books and Crayons.  Our patrons and community are always very generous with their donations, and we thank you in advance for your generosity in this latest Drive.

VITA Tax Aide “Free”                                                                                                    Free assistance is available for persons with incomes, $70,000 or less, who wish to have their taxes prepared by trained volunteers in the Volunteer Tax Assistance Program. You can call the library at 516 355-7850, x101 or 102 to schedule an appointment on any of the following days: Saturdays, March 18 or 25; April 1, 8 or 15.  The following are the appointment times: 10:15 a.m.; 11:15 a.m.; 12:15 p.m. or 1:15 p.m.

Bingo – All Purpose Room                                                                                                Sunday, March 19 at 12:30 p.m. Join us for a fun game of Bingo!  Winners will win prizes!

Using an Apple Mobile Devices – All Purpose Room                                            Monday, March 20 at 6:30 p.m. Learn basic information about Apple’s popular mobile devices; iPhones and iPads. Bring your devices and questions.

Movements of Grace with Jenn – Virtual                                                                      Tuesday, March 21 at 7 p.m. Movements of Grace is an embodied practice where body, mind and spirit synchronize with Music, Meditation and Movement.  A loving body language where HANDS and SOUND meet.  A gentle seated practice which will invite your full presence in releasing tension and opening and freeing your heart…

Tales of Women at Sea – All Purpose Room                                                              Wednesday, March 22 at 6 p.m. Explore the fascinating yet little-known lives, stories, and experiences of pioneering 19th Century American whaling wives who defied convention. Find out about their diverse experiences around the world through photographs, journal entries, and artifacts. Presented by the Cold Spring Harbor Whaling Museum.

Lil Athletes – All Purpose Room                                                                                    Thursday, March 23 at 4:30 p.m. Ages: 20 months – 3 years (with parent/caregiver). High energy soccer and baseball fun, focusing on throwing, catching and kicking skills!
