Williston Park Library news

This year’s Summer Reading kickoff will take place on Saturday, June 25 from 11am-1pm in the Village Hall parking lot. Children will be able to register for our programs, dance to the DJ and enjoy some ice cream. Staff from NY Life will be available for Child ID registration.
The library is distributing Covid-19 self-test kits while supplies last.

Adult Programs
Knitting Circle—Thursday—May 12 & 26 —11:30am-1:30 pm in the Assembly Room of Village Hall.
Reiki—Thursdays—May 12 & 26; June 9 & 23; July 7 & 21; August 4 & 18–6pm in the Assembly Room of Village Hall. $10 p/person.
Book Discussion—Wednesday—May 25—7pm in the Assembly Room of Village Hall and via Zoom. Copies of Ordinary Grace will be available at the Circulation Desk.
Shredding Service—Saturday—June 4—1:30-4:30pm in the parking lot of Solomon Schecter School.
St. Francis Hospital Health Screenings—Monday—June 20—10am-2pm in front of the Library. Open to everyone over 18 years of age. Included: brief cardiac history, blood pressure and simple blood test for cholesterol and diabetes.
Empire Safety Driving Course—Wednesday—June 22—10am-4pm in the Assembly Room of Village Hall. $30 p/person. Checks payable to Empire Safety Counsel. Registration forms are available at the Circulation Desk, or call the library at 516-742-1820, and one will be mailed to you.
Ceramic Gnome Craft—Tuesday–June 28—6pm in the Library. $20 material fee. Limited to 20 participants. Call the library (742-1820) or email willistonparkprograms@gmail.com to register.

Children’s Programs
Storytime with Miss Beth—Tuesdays—May 10, 17, 24 & 31—11-11:45am in the Children’s Room for children ages 1-4.

STEM Lego’s How to Code a Sandcastle—Wednesday—June 29—4pm in the Children’s Room for children ages 5+. Limited to 12 participants. Call the library (742-1820) or email willistonparkprograms@gmail.com to register.

Come into the Library for a free children’s craft every Monday for Take and Make Mondays.
