The Port Washington Public Library welcomes the enduring folk/rock group Aztec Two-Step, currently celebrating the 50th anniversary of the release of the act’s debut album, as part of their SoundSwap series. With four-plus decades as staples of progressive FM radio, major record deals, non-stop touring, and even an appearance on David Letterman, Rex Fowler and Neal Shulman have impressed audiences with intelligent songwriting, dazzling lead guitar, and soaring harmonies.

Since Neal’s retirement, Rex and his wife Dodie Pettit, an accomplished musician and an original member of the cast of The Phantom of the Opera, are now the heart and soul of Aztec

Two-Step 2.0. Together, they continue to expand and explore the band’s legacy with fan favorites, forgotten gems, and new original compositions.

This arrangement of Aztec Two-Step has appeared in concert with such notable artists as The Beach Boys, Bruce Springsteen, Talking Heads, Bon Jovi, Heart, and many others. This free event is sponsored by the Friends of theLibrary.
