East Hills Mayor Michael Koblenz, with the approval of the board of trustees, appointed Bram Weber as an alternate member to the village’s zoning board of appeals on Tuesday.

Bram Weber is a partner at Weber Law Group LLP, where his practice focuses on commercial real estate development law. He received a bachelor of arts in history and American studies from Brandeis University in 1997, and his juris doctor degree from Hofstra University Law School in 2000.

Weber is replacing the ZBA’s former alternate Andrew Crabtree in the wake of his resignation. An alternate member of the board will serve in the instance that a member is unable to attend.

The zoning board of appeals reviews applicants’ appeals to a decision made by the village’s architectural review board regarding their application. The ZBA is capable of reversing, affirming or modifying a decision made by the architectural review board.

The zoning board of appeals is scheduled to convene at 5:30 p.m. on April 20.
