Village of East Hills Mayor Michael Koblenzoard said Tuesday that recent repair work has been completed, and the village pool, weather permitting, will open on Saturday, May 25.
Koblenz said the pool would be open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and that repair work on the pool walkways had recently been completed.
The village police building also received new windows, air conditioning, and fresh paint, the mayor said. The next set of renovations will include redoing the floors and adjusting the lighting if needed.
Koblenz said that the Village Hall building needs new windows and the board is waiting on price estimates.
The board approved a $50 monthly payment for the year to upgrade the internet speed at Village Hall.
Board members also discussed upcoming village events, including a party to be held June 25 for students celebrating the last day of school, Trustee Clara Pomerantz said.
The party will feature a DJ and lots of activities.
