RIVERA Village Clerk BOND RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE OF MINEOLA, NEW YORK, ADOPTED AUGUST 2, 2023, AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF BONDS IN A PRINCIPAL AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $3,491,000 TO FINANCE A PORTION OF THE COST OF CONSTRUCTION OF IMPROVEMENTS TO THE VILLAGE WATER SYSTEM, CONSISTING OF A TREATMENT SYSTEM FOR THE REMOVAL OF PFOA AND PFOS AT THE WELL NO. 6 FACILITY, STATING THE ESTIMATED MAXIMUM COST THEREOF IS $8,491,000 AND APPROPRIATING SAID AMOUNT FOR SUCH PURPOSE, INCLUDING THE EXPENDITURE OF $5,000,000 IN GRANT FUNDS EXPECTED TO BE RECEIVED TO PAY THE BALANCE OF SAID COSTThe object or purpose for which the bonds are authorized is the construction of improvements to the Village water system, consisting of a treatment system for the removal of PFOA and PFOS at the Well No. 6 facility, including any other ancillary or related work in connection therewith. The Village expects to receive grant funds in the amount of $5,000,000 from the New York State Environmental Facilities Corporation Water Infrastructure Improvement Act (WIIA).
