The Village of Plandome honored longtime employees Kim Femminella and Steve Flynn at their Board of Trustees meeting Monday night for decades of service. The board said they are fortunate to have a dedicated and reliable staff based at Village Hall.

Femminella has served as the deputy clerk and court clerk and started working for the village in August 1993. The Village celebrated her 30 years of service. Flynn followed in his father’s footsteps as foreman of public work and began working for the village in July 1998. He marked 25 years of service.

The Village’s outgoing mayor, Tom Minutillo, and the newly appointed mayor, Jake Kurkjian, jointly presented the recognition plaques and awards to Femminella and Flynn, and praised their appreciation for the service the two have provided to the residents of Plandome.

“Our village celebrates Kim Femminella and Steve Fylnn for their longstanding dedication and service,” said Kurjian, “Kim for over 30 years in the office and Steve for over 25 on the roads and grounds. Their commitment to the well being and safety of the residents of Plandome speaks volumes. We are lucky to have them as part of our ‘family.'”

Kurkjian said the employees of the Village are part of a bigger “Plandome family,” a sentiment that was echoed and applauded by the Board of Trustees.
