Police were investigating an armed robbery that took place in North New Hyde Park on the afternoon of Oct. 5.
A female victim, 52, was walking northbound on Denton Avenue near Hillside Avenue when a suspect pulled a handgun before grabbing her pocketbook and fleeing the scene, police said.
The suspect, described as a male Hispanic with a medium complexion and wearing a white-colored hoodie sweatshirt, fled west on Hillside in what was described as a red Toyota Camry, police said.
No injuries during the incident were reported. The pocketbook’s contents included an iPhone and U.S. currency, police said.
