March brings EXPO 35, the 2016 National Competition Winners Exhibition, to Huntington’s b.j spoke gallery.
The exhibition displays several artworks from each of the 17 winning artists selected by Mary Potter, curatorial assistant at the Whitney Museum of American Art.Â
Potter chose pieces produced in diverse media including video, batik painting on fabric, digital sculpture, hanging sculpture, painting, drawing and photography.
There will be an artists’ reception on Saturday, March 5, from 6 to 9 p.m. The public is invited to attend. The works will be on view from Thursday, March 3 until Sunday, April 3 at b.j.spoke gallery, 299 Main Street, Huntington.

On April 4, 2018, BJ Spoke Gallery is presenting the Neo-Pop Artist’s limited Edition artwork by Steve Kaufman, who worked closely with Andy Warhol in his studio in the 1970s. Also on exhibit is the original artwork of popular LI artists, who are members of the not-for-profit coop gallery. The Exhibition is “Spring Fever” and includes Phyllis Baron, Lorraine Carol, Liz Ehrlichman, Nicolette Pach, Karen L. Kirshner, Kevin Larkin, Gia Shifano, and Katherine Criss, and more. All are welcome to a free reception with the artists. Sat., April 7, at 6-9 PM.
