This weekend at Steppingstone Waterside Theatre: Dr. K’s Motown is performing in Steppingstone Park, Saturday, Aug. 10 at 8 p.m. Paul Korman, leading this big band, bring you Motown’s greatest hits from legends such as Marvin Gaye, The Four Tops and more. On Sunday, Aug. 11, Let’s Hang On! Four Seasons Tribute Band will play the music of the iconic Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. Performances are free for Great Neck Park District residents, only, with a valid park pass. Each park pass holder is allowed to bring two guests. Special Monday family events: On Monday, Aug. 12, come to Kings Point Park for a marshmallow roast at 6 p.m. Rain date is Aug. 19.

2019 VGNP Summer Concert Series: On Tuesday, Aug. 13, the Village of Great Neck Plaza presents Phil Costa & The Something Special Band, “Summer Swing,” at 8 p.m. in Firefighters Park on Grace Avenue. Admission is free. Everyone welcome. Rain location is the Great Neck Social Center (80 Grace Avenue).

Parkwood Family Aquatic Center: All pool members can head to Parkwood Family Aquatic Center for free water jazzercise, every Sunday, between 12:30 and 1:30 p.m.; bring your own float day on Sunday, Aug, 11 and 25; the adult night pool party on Wednesday, Aug. 21 from 8 to 10 p.m. and you won’t want to miss the annual rubber duckie races in the lazy river on Sunday, Aug. 18 from 1:15 to 2:15 p.m. Purchase a five day pass! It’s never too late to become a member at www.gnparks.org.

Nature program – Late summer seasonal stroll: On Sunday, Aug. 11 at 10 a.m. take a late summer seasonal stroll with us in Kings Point Park. Meet in the first lot at the Steamboat Road entrance. Register online at gnparks.org or call 516-487-GNPD. Children under 16 may not attend.

Outdoor movie in the Village Green: “Aquaman” is showing outdoors in the Village Green on Thursday, Aug. 22 at 6 p.m. The film stars Jason Momoa, Amber Heard and Willem Dafoe. It is rated PG-13 and runs 2h 23min. Bring your own chair/blanket. Rain location Parkwood Sports Complex. Call 516-487-GNPD for more information.

2020 Park Budget Meeting: The Great Neck Park District 2020 Park Budget Hearing will be held at the Administration Building, 5 Beach Road on Thursday, Sept. 5 at 8 p.m. All are welcome to attend.
