I’m so proud to support state Sen. Anna Kaplan’s campaign for re-election to Senate District 7.

As a child, I’ve always been proud of my culture and heritage as an Asian American. However, since the pandemic began, hate crimes against Asian Americans have increased by 339%. I was ashamed of my identity for some time and felt judged for being who I am. Then I heard of Anna Kaplan’s story— a former child refugee who fled Iran amidst the revolution. She’s fought for women’s rights and fair treatment of minorities for her entire life.

I first met Senator Kaplan when she held a “Stop Asian Hate” rally in Great Neck. I felt inspired by her accomplishments and back story. I instantly knew we needed to keep her in office, representing our community.

The 2022 general election will be one of the most challenging fights we’ve ever seen in Long Island, and Anna is someone you can trust with your vote. She’s devoted her life to changing the world for the better, and you could be part of the movement.

Please join me in voting to re-elect our state senator, Anna Kaplan, in the primary election on August 23.
