North Hempstead Town Supervisor Judi Bosworth attended New York State Assembly Member Ed Ra’s Sixth Annual Women of Distinction Awards on Saturday, Oct. 6 at the Westbury Library.
The event celebrated the accomplishments of extraordinary women who have made a positive impact on the local community. Bosworth presented all the honorees with citations in recognition of their accomplishments.
This year’s honorees included Mary Maguire of Garden City, Susan Sohmer of Mineola, Theresa Leno of West Hempstead, Karen Signoracci Suero of Mineola, Marianne Russo of Glen Head, Tara McCarton of Garden City, Ann Forster of Garden City and Marlene Botta of Franklin Square. Emily Kille, of Mineola, was presented with the Emerging Leader Award.
