As part of their “community helpers” unit in their social studies lessons, Manor Oaks School first graders in Beth Kyranakis’ welcomed special guest visitors to speak about their careers, from March 28-30.
Parents of students in the class were invited to speak about their respective jobs and how they are community helpers. The speakers included Sanjita Hamal, who works at a hair salon; Michael Siracusano, who works in sanitation; Michael McKeon, who is a utility worker; and Tasha Lhewa, who is an attorney.
