Brian Gamble, has been part of the First Long Island Investors team since 2006 and is a Certified Financial Planner (TM) professional.
His role at FLI has continued to expand over the years and he currently is a key member of the client management and investment management team. Brian is a member of the investment committee and is a member of sub-committees for many of our investment strategies.
He is the fixed income portfolio manager- responsible for buying and selling bonds for clients as well as interfacing with our multiple bond brokers to ensure our clients get the best pricing and have access to a wide variety of securities.
He is the associate portfolio manager of FLI Dividend Growth one of our defensive equity strategies. He is involved with research, analysis, and due diligence for potential new equity holdings and existing holdings.
Brian is part of the team which develops initial and ongoing asset allocation recommendations for clients. He analyzes the existing holdings of a new client, including annuities, retirement plans, etc. and develops a recommendation(s) of how best to transition those assets to FLI’s various strategies (including in some cases a recommendation to maintain certain existing investments).
Brian works closely with many of our clients and provides recommendations on additional wealth management strategies (e. g. setting up trusts, gifting, and philanthropic donations) where appropriate as their needs and goals evolve.
The combination of financial planning skills and deep investment product knowledge Brian attained through the rigorous CFP® certification process has greatly aided him in this effort.
Brian graduated cum laude from Hofstra University/Hofstra University Honors College in 2007, where he earned a B.B.A. concentrating in Business Computer Information Systems with a minor in Finance.
Brian is a Long Island native and an avid New York Islanders and New York Giants fan. He also enjoys traveling and snowboarding.
