Matthew Donno is the co-owner and chief financial officer of EGA Safety Consultants LLC, a construction OSHA Safety company, and a real estate agent in Manhasset.
Matthew brings over 15 years of experience with marketing and sales, accounting, business management, and business development.
EGA Safety Consultants LLC is dedicated to ensure the highest level of safety services for clients.
EGA provides expertise in safety management, safety logistics plans, written health and safety programs, inspections, and fire safety, as well as compliance training programs. In addition to working on building construction, EGA Safety has a unique focus on MTA, LIRR, and Transit Authority trained professionals.
EGA Safety primarily hires military veterans and retired police/firefighters. Their background in safety regulations and protocols make them ideal employees for this practice.
Born and raised in Manhasset, Matthew has an intimate knowledge of the town and neighboring communities. Matthew is co-president of the Manhasset Chamber of Commerce.
In this position, he uses his business development skills to assist local businesses with the tools to be successful.
Matthew received an education from Duquesne University in business and communications. Having a background in leading companies, Matthew has been recognized by his clients and colleagues as a strong leader and a motivated individual who is patient, reliable, and trustworthy.
Over the past 15 years, Matthew has developed and been a part of several different businesses, ranging from waste transfer stations to health products! Having built startups and other operations as CFO/comptroller, he has navigated a spectrum of operations.
Matthew has not only spent time in the private sector but has also held government positions working with Long Island villages. His experience with local governments has contributed to his success with various state and city Jobs.
His mother, Mayor Barbara Donno of Plandome Manor, has always instilled the importance of civic responsibility.
When Matthew isn’t working or volunteering for the Manhasset Chamber of Commerce, he divides his time between the Manhasset Rotary and the Gift of Life International.
Matthew has been a board member with the Manhasset Rotary and the liaison to the Manhasset High School Interact, (a Manhasset High School Rotary club), leading many initiatives in fundraising to community outreach, such as providing Thanksgiving meals to families and winter coats to those in need.
Matthew’s father, Robert Donno, taught him about being a self-employed entrepreneur and also led the way for his charity focus by starting the Gift of Life International as a young Manhasset Rotarian himself. Gift of Life International is the largest pediatric heart surgery program in the world, with operations in 80 countries responsible for saving over 43,000 kids from around the world.
Matthew is very grateful to his parents for instilling all the values he embodies today. He is thankful to be recognized for this achievement and looks forward to being a leader and mentor for future entrepreneurs.
