Michael Polak, vice president of Communications, Long Island Ducks.
Michael begins his 12th season with the Ducks in 2022 and has called the action of eight Atlantic League Championship Series matchups, including the Ducks 2012, 2013 and 2019 ALPB championship victories.

He is also the point person responsible for the Ducks broadcasts, all media requests, website, social media, publicity and communications. Additionally, he has previously handled all communications responsiblities for the Atlantic League of Professsional Baseball.

A native of New Hyde Park, Michael has served as a play-by-play announcer during North American Prospects Hockey League and Eastern Hockey League Premier showcases.

While there, he broadcast games played by many of the top 18U and 16U hockey teams in the United States and Canada. He has previously served as an associate producer at MSG Varsity on Long Island and as a Live Editor at Neulion Inc.

Prior to his first season with the Ducks, Michael spent time as the play-by-play announcer for the Ontario Reign of the ECHL.

Michael graduated from Ithaca College in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science in Sport Media and a minor in journalism.

During his time at Ithaca, he served as a broadcaster for various sports on 92 WICB Radio, VIC Radio and ICTV. He also gained experience through internships with SportsNet New York, WCBS NewsRadio 880, WNBCTV, the Los Angeles Kings Hockey Club and Torrance CitiCABLE 3.

What has enabled me to be successful?
The Ducks organization has allowed me the ability to pursue my dreams and held me to the highest standard of professionalism and excellence.

This constant drive to perform my duties at the highest possible level is something I strive to achieve each season. I have been given the freedom to be creative with the various projects we put together each season and to keep improving our overall product for our terrific fan base.
