Five new luxury rental loft apartments are complete at the Roslyn Lumber Yard mixed-use building in Roslyn Village, developers Kevin Dursun and John Santos announced Tuesday.
Dursun and Santos, both long-time Roslyn residents, converted a commercial space in the building located at 17-21 Lumber Road in Roslyn into the five two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartments, ranging in size from 1,423 to 2,122 square feet.
Leases for three of the five new apartments were signed during construction. The listings are represented by Wendy Sanders of Douglas Elliman Real Estate.
In a Douglas Elliman news release, the developers said the apartments were designed to “reflect what today’s tenants are looking for; large, open spaces with custom finishes throughout.”
Each loft has a second-story master bedroom suite with a 14-foot ceiling, master bath, walk-in closet and private balcony overlooking the water.
The lofts have ceiling-to-floor windows overlooking the water.
Tenants also have access to the building’s furnished and landscaped rooftop deck, which has a view of the village and Hempstead Harbor, and the fitness center.
Information on the rents for the remaining two lofts was not immediately available.
The Roslyn Lumber Yard opened in 2016 and now has 25 luxury rentals and an assortment of upscale retail stores.
“In a short amount of time, we’ve carved out a niche of eclectic, high-quality retail businesses in the beauty and health category,” Dursun said. “… On the residential side, we’re thrilled that the apartments have been so well-received and that we’ve already rented three of the five lofts by the strength of the Roslyn Lumber Yard brand and positive word of mouth.”
