On a cold and blustery November evening, 82 hearty businesspeople of Port Washington gathered for the first, in-person Fall Networking Event sponsored by the Port Washington Chamber of Commerce.
Armed with business cards and plenty of gregarious good will, a happy buzz of conversations filled beautiful Ayhan’s Lobster and Fish House on Main Street for two hours. It was terrific to network with so many familiar friends as well as new Port business owners looking to do more business locally.
Debbie Greco, chamber president, extended a warm welcome to everyone. A special thank you from the chamber was given to Ayhan Hassan, owner of Ayhan’s Restaurants, for his steadfast and very generous support of the chamber, as well as to his manager Ihab Ghaly and his staff for hosting so smoothly in this lovely event venue.
Another special thank you goes to the Lorber-Hoffman Real Estate Team, which won the 50/50 raffle and generously donated their portion to the Chamber.
The chamber plans to hold a similar event again in the spring and to continue this very successful event on a regular basis. There are a variety of chamber events and projects all year long that need the energy of our business community.
