How to Protect Yourself Against Financial Fraud – All Purpose Room

Friday, April 12, 1 – 2 p.m. The presentation covers current prolific fraud schemes (phishing, imposter scams, romance scams, etc.) and provides valuable preventative measures to help detect and prevent potential fraud.

Certified Fraud Examiners (CFEs) will supervise the presentation and be available to assist and answer any questions.

Paint Night: Find a Rainbow – Virtual

Men’s Health and Cancer Prevention: Healthy Living for Healthy Men – Virtual

Tuesday, April 16 at 12 noon. Stony Brook Health Education; Learn about cancers that primarily affect men or people assigned male at birth. Learn about the importance of knowing your body, early detection and screening guidelines for specific cancers.

Tuesday, April 16, 2 – 3 p.m. The cardinal rule in computing is to NEVER leave your computer unprotected from malware attacks. These can be computer viruses, worms, Trojan horses, or any other program aimed at harming your computer or stealing personal information. Join SeniorNet’s free webinar to learn how to protect yourself against computer malware, spam, identity theft, and scams. This webinar is appropriate for Windows and Mac operating systems.

Thursday, April 18, 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. Calling all gardeners, of all levels and interests!  Join the Plant and Garden Club and exchange seeds, rooted cuttings, and plants with fellow gardeners of all skills and interests.  Let’s discuss composting, annuals and perennials, indoor and outdoor gardens, container gardens, terrariums (make your own!), and your problems and successes!  No registration necessary.

The Library Plant and Garden Club meets every 3rd Thursday, April through September.

Virtual Tea Tasting Earl Grey Evening

Thursday, April 18 at 7 p.m. Ages: Teen – Adult.  Join our librarian Ms. Ambadjes in learning about & tasting a variety of Earl Grey Teas.  Sip & learn as you watch the virtual presentation.  Teas can be picked up the week of the program.

Stemtastic: Across the Water! – All Purpose Room

Monday, April 15 at 4:30 p.m. Ages: 7-12 years. Make & design your own paddleboat, then cast away in our pool of water and watch them sail across the water!
