A Williston Park teenager was charged Tuesday for slashing a woman in the face with a knife at Roosevelt Field Mall in East Garden City, police said.

Verlain Beauge, 18, allegedly struck a 20-year-old woman in the face,  leaving her with a large laceration to her left cheek, police said.

The female, who had noticed a knife in Beague’s hand, was taken to a hospital for treatment of her injuries, police said. Beague allegedly fled the scene after the incident,

Beague was charged with assault of the first degree, assault of the second degree and criminal possession of a weapon of the fourth degree.
