A 35-year-old woman has been charged with setting a home in Williston Park on fire with two people inside it early Sunday morning, police said.

Nassau County officers responded to a residential fire on Sherman Avenue that started on the roof of the home.

The fire was extinguished before police arrived on the scene, police said. 

Maria Garcia was charged with attempted arson in the second degree, arson in the fifth degree, criminal mischief in the fourth degree and reckless endangerment in the second degree. 

The two female victims in the house, aged 38 and 77, suffered no injuries and the house sustained no structural damage, police said.
