82nd annual interfaith Thanksgiving service

On Nov. 20, the Port Washington Clergy Association will be hosting the 82nd annual Interfaith Thanksgiving Service at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church.

The Port Washington Clergy Association welcomes all faith communities in the area to unite in song & solidarity to give thanks & praise at this joyous season!

Interfaith Thanksgiving Service, on Sunday, Nov. 20 at 4:00 pm, will be held in-person at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Port Washington (enter on Main Street between S. Washington St. & Carlton Ave.) and online via Zoom.

Donations collected this year will benefit “Upholding Humanity”, an interfaith coalition made up of local faith leaders that aids in the resettlement of refugees to Long Island, as well as help to re-stock community food pantries at Our Lady of Fatima Church and St. Peter’s of Alcantara Church. Donations can be made online.

The Port Washington Interfaith Clergy Association has been a source of civility and respect in Port Washington for many decades.

The members of the Interfaith Clergy support one another, work together to help people in need, and sponsor Interfaith services on Thanksgiving and at other times to mark other important moments in the life of our community. It is currently chaired by Rabbi Michael Mishkin of Temple Beth Israel.
