However, he is really a ringer in cahoots with a lawyer; and the two are trying to dupe the ghoulish family out of their fortune.”

Stony Brook Health Education: Focus on Breast Cancer – Virtual

Tuesday, October 17 at 12 noon. Breast Cancer: Know the Facts: October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Come join Health Educators form Stony Brook Cancer Center to learn about breast cancer. We will be discussing causes of breast cancer, how to prevent it, and screenings available.

Wednesday, October 18 at 2 p.m. The Town of Hempstead’s Receiver of Taxes, Jeanine Driscoll, will present and explain all the exemptions available to taxpayers that will help lower their tax burdens, including the Home Improvement Tax Exemption. NYS Unclaimed Funds Workshop – All Purpose Room

Wednesday, October 18 at 6 p.m. New York State is holding billions of dollars in unclaimed funds, deposited by banks, insurance companies, businesses and more. Leah Solomon, of the New York State Comptroller’s office, will discuss unclaimed funds and how to search, process, and claim money you may not even know you have!

Time for Kids: Halloween Owl! – All Purpose Room

Thursday, October 19 at 10:30 a.m. Ages: 12 months – 5 years (with parent/caregiver). Come join A Time for Kids, Inc. as we celebrate Halloween in this family fun preschool program. Activities include music, movement, fine & gross motor development and storytelling! There will also be a Halloween Owl Craft!
