Computer Basics- macOS 11 – 1st Fl. Modular Room

Monday, November 13 at 6:30 p.m. This workshop is for those who are new to using macOS or want to build more confidence using the Mac operating system. Attendees will learn to navigate the Mac operating system, manage applications using the Dock, find and manage files and folders, save and delete files, and more.  This class is targeted for beginners.

Stony Brook Health Education: Focus on Colorectal Cancer – Virtual

Tuesday, November 14 at 12 noon. Colorectal Cancer: Know the Facts: Come join Health Educators form Stony Brook Cancer Center to learn about colorectal cancer. Colorectal Cancer is the 2nd leading cause of cancer deaths in the United States. We will be discussing causes of colorectal cancer, how to prevent it, and screenings available.

Tuesday, November 14, 6:30 – 7:30 p.m.  Regina Dlugokencky of Seedsower Farm discusses bulbs and their beauty! Learn how to choose the best bulbs that are essential for our pollinator community and how to plant a beautiful garden that will extend nectar and pollen resources throughout the spring.

Wednesday, November 15 at 5:30 p.m. Marlena is back at the library, with her self-designed Fall-themed necklace with wood charm and gorgeous earrings for you to create and wear, or give as a cherished gift. Patrons aged 18+ only.

Paint Night: Picturesque Peacock and Plumes – Virtual

Friday, November 17 at 7 p.m.  Sketching and Acrylics with Alma for everyone!  Take a break this holiday season and chill out painting a magnificent peacock! Did you know…peacocks are the National Bird of India and can flaunt up to 200 feathers on its tail at a time, which reflect various wavelengths of light based on their spacing?

Kahoot Trivia Fall Food – Virtual

Monday, November 13 at 7 p.m. All Ages YOUTH (Kids/Tweens/Teens – parents & caretakers are welcome to participate WITH their kids to play as a family.  Please no adults without kids). Join us for a virtual night of trivia on the flavors of Fall – from pumpkin spice to apple pie and everything in between!  A prize will be awarded to the night’s trivia contest winner.

Move N’ Groove with Jane! – All Purpose Room

Thursday, November 16 at 4:30 p.m. Grades: 2 – 3. Get ready for some fun action and groovin’! Be up and moving in this class while having fun and teaming up in activities. Remember to bring a water bottle.

Friday, November 17 at 11 a.m. Ages: 9 months – 5 years (with parent/caregiver). Stories, music and movement activities with Mollie Mouse!

Thankful Friendship Bracelets – All Purpose Room
