Monday or Wednesday sessions 6:30-8:30pm in the Gymnasium of the Landmark building / 232 Main Street Port Washington

10 Sessions. Monday sessions begin 10/19; Wednesday sessions begin 10/14.

We meet IN PERSON!
Leave your laptops at home... Take a break from the computer screen. Just bring a pen or pencil... I provide the rest!

Each class will focus on

• Vocabulary acquisition
• Grammar skills
• Writing skills
• Active reading
• Literary analysis
• Critical thinking

To prepare students for

• AP courses and exams
• Standardized tests such as the ACT and SAT
• Improved essays
• Improved grades
• College admissions
• College readiness

The teacher is

• A "highly effective" teacher from a local high school
• With 15+ years experience
• Specializing in honors-level classes
• Awarded the New York State English Council "Educator of Excellence" in 2010

The course is limited to 10 students per section.

Every class is self-contained; no homework will be assigned.

Students will be engaged with the course, the material, the instructor, and each other!

Parents will be given a personalized report at the end of the experience.

Student and teacher safety will be a top priority.

Masks and social distancing will be enforced.
