Congratulations to our 102 New York State Seal of Biliteracy recipients! This year we had four students receive the seal in two languages, a language studied at North Shore and their home language.

Said Ana Aguiar-Mady,  director of world languages and ENL, “One of the goals of world language education is to prepare our students for our world of multilingualism and multiculturalism. The New York State Seal of Biliteracy is a formal recognition of students who have studied and achieved a high level of proficiency in English and at least one other world language. Students earned the seal in Arabic, Cantonese, French, Greek, Italian, Latin, Mandarin and Spanish.”
