We invite everyone to join us.”

Refreshments, live music, and family-friendly activities such as face painting will also be part of the day.

Alzheimer’s disease is a growing public health issue. More than 6.2 million Americans are living with Alzheimer’s disease right now, and that number is expected to more than double by 2060, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Locally, approximately 680,000 individuals in the tristate area are living with Alzheimer’s disease, a number which is projected to grow in the years ahead.

There is no charge to register for the walks. Individuals and organizations should visit www.alzfdn.org/walk to get more information or to register to walk on September 24 and/or September 25 and create their fundraising pages. Those who are unable to attend but would still like to support the walk can make a donation at www.alzfdn.org/walk.
