The day began with Carey’s Dads’ Club providing a delicious, free breakfast to students and community members. It continued with the annual parade, which featured outstanding floats and banners based on this year’s Pixar theme. At the conclusion of the parade, Corry Brinken and Lauren Pitz were crowned homecoming king and queen, respectively. The school also honored senior football team players, cheerleaders, Pirettes and band members prior to the game’s kickoff.

The Seahawks took the field against MacArthur High School. The boys made a terrific effort, but unfortunately, they fell short and were defeated, 9-0. The homecoming festivities were highlighted by an outstanding halftime show, with the marching band, Pirettes, junior varsity and varsity cheerleaders performing.
