Manhasset Public Schools has been honored with the Best Communities for Music Education Award from the NAMM Foundation. Now in its 23rd year, the designation is awarded to districts that demonstrate outstanding achievement in efforts to provide music access and education for all students.

To qualify for the designation, Manhasset Public Schools answered questions about funding, graduation requirements, music class participation, instruction time, facilities, support for the music program and community music-making programs.

This marks the 13th consecutive year Manhasset has received the national recognition. The District thanks the efforts of its teachers, administrators, parents, students and the community for making music part of a well-rounded education.
